Carrie Karleen loves to teach folk dance. Whether it is at the homeschool co-op, barn dances in Fort Davis, or in her folk dance troupe, she makes sure that her students not only know the steps to the dance, but have fun dancing. She has been folk dancing for many years, but it is in the last six years that she has begun to teach. She attended the Texas International Folk Dance camp in 2019. She founded TRAD Folk Dance Troupe in 2021

Ashton Haines

Ashton Haines has been playing and studying guitar for about 12 years. Some of his accomplishemnts include playing across the country as a member of the Sandy UT School of Rock Houseband. As a member of the house band, he was also expected to mentor younger students on guitar, which is where some of his experience with teaching comes from. He was also selected to participate in a Jazz ensemble organized by the University of Houston for a music festival. Both of these expereinces required high-level theory knowledge, guitar expertise, and an audition. He is currently studying music performance with a focus in classical guitar at Sul Ross. His plans are to pursue a career in teaching lessons in guitar and performing onstage as a guitarist.
